A meeting with Mr. Mohammed Sadiki, Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests, and his team was held on February 7, 2024, in Rabat at the request of UNICOP to present the challenges facing the fish canning sector in Morocco. During the meeting, the Minister was made aware of the stifling situation experienced by operators in the sector and proposed the establishment of multipartite committees, including UNICOP, DPM, ONSSA, ONP, and Morocco Foodex, to hold regular meetings and ensure continuous dialogue on the issues raised.
